Important Coin Auction at Unique Auctions

Unique auctions of Lincoln have been instructed by the executors of a probate estate, to sell by public auction on Sunday 26th February, a very large quantity of GB & other coins, including, sovereigns, gold Swiss francs, Georgian / Victorian / Edwardian, crowns, Maundy Money, many silver proof sets. Roman, AD coins and coins dating from the fourteenth century upwards.
An unusual part of the collection is a bin containing 1/4 tonne of unsorted coins. We can only imaging that this collection took many decades to get to its current position. The bin was filmed by the BBC and by Unique Auctions being emptied. The collection is so vast that many lots are being added to the catalogue unsorted.
